Institutional Center for Shared Technologies and Facilities of Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology, Chinese Academy of Sciences

The Institutional Center serves as the institute's technical support division, integrating equipment procurement and upgrading, operation and maintenance, method development, technical services, resource sharing, and corresponding management functions. The Center is primarily responsible for formulating the institute-level strategic development plan for equipment infrastructure, organizing and implementing procurement and upgrading projects, coordinating the integration of institute-wide instrument and equipment resources, promoting open sharing of large-scale instruments, and facilitating the recruitment and training of technical personnel.

All large-scale instruments of the institute are managed under the Center, which currently comprises five technical platforms:

· High-Resolution X-ray Computed Tomography Laboratory

· Molecular Paleontology Laboratory

· Paleoenvironment Laboratory

· Paleolithic Archaeology Laboratory and Microscopy Laboratory

· High Performance Computing Center
